I will give you a little history: My husband and I met at work 10 years ago. We were both in committed relationships and became friends. He has 2 boys ages 22 and 20. I have a boy 20 and a daughter 16. He has always been a distant father due to the boys mother playing games and not allowing regular visitation. He was lucky to see the boys for a few days a year.
About 1 year ago she finally decided she needs help. Both of the boys are addicted to oxy. She sent the younger one to her fathers and the older one to us. We opened our house with open arms. It was a great chance for my husband to feel like a father and build a relationship with his son. We make every effort to help him achieve goals and to stay drug free. He has a job and makes good money. His boss also knows his history.
At Christmas, he went home to see his mother and came back with oxy. He has relapsed 2 other times with pot. When he is doing well we reward him with trust. We allowed him to drive our cars to and from work and occasionally to date. He then started lying to us. I was noticing the mileage and knowing that he only works 1 mile from the house he was putting 40 plus miles on my car and then lying about his whereabouts. (We found out he lied but we don't know what really happened) About 3 weeks ago his mother called and said he had no money in the bank. (she has access online) He was suppose to have 2 thousand and he had a negative balance. He was suppose to be saving for a car. About 2 weeks ago, my daughter had money missing from her dresser. Then I was missing jewelry. My husband is missing all his jewelry!! We know what happened!! We have an alarm system on the house, there was no forced entry, and my daughter is never home alone.
Now the problem I really have is with my husband. I love him with all my heart but I can't stand what he is doing to our marriage. When he goes to work he is a happy go lucky kind of guy and everyone loves him. When he comes home he is exhausted and wants to go to bed early. When he is home and his son is gone he has the phone right by his side and answers upbeat like he is so excited to hear from him. When I am out and call him he doesn't ever answer the phone. I have to leave a message and he calls me back. He goes to play poker and stays for hours. He and his son plays golf too!
My husband has nothing left for me or our relationship. We tried councelling but it doesn't work when your husband doesn't show who he really is. We tried a date day. We succeeded 2 times and it seems he wants to go home early. I feel his son doesn't understand that I need privacy sometimes with his father. He needs to be center of attention.
We fight constantly about his son. I feel that he is at his beckon call. He calls whenever for a ride home from work. He has been inconsiderate with his dad. His dad will wait up to pick him up from work and he calls around 11 to say he got off at 8 and went to the bar with friends. He is not allowed to use our cars now however he has no money to buy his own.
I am very afraid our marriage cannot take anymore. I am tired of being a doormat and helping someone who is not helping himself. Then again, why would you when your father does everything for you?
Any ideas are welcome!!! Please help!!

Today (Saturday, September 26, 2009 AD - Gregorian calendar [aka: United States calendar]) was a great day, as opposed to yesterday, which was not so great. Well, when I woke up, I got ready for the day and then I went on the Internet and got on some forums. My little brother, Eric McDonald, and my father, Ryan McDonald went to a yard sale (or yard sales, I'm not sure), and my dad got me two blue golf balls (since I like golf), however, I gave one to my uncle when he arrived later. Then my uncle, Jonathan McDonald (Prime Minister of Jonathanland) came and picked me up at around 12:00 PM (GMT-6 / Central Standard Time [in the United States of America]) and he gave me a SCUBA diving T-shirt and he let me borrow two video games, LEGO Creator and Tomb Raider. By the time we actually departed, it was beginning to pour down raining. In the car I played some iPhone game where you shoot dolls out of a cannon and try to hit a target on my uncle's iPhone. Then we arrived at Ponderosa, I had like 15 plates/servings/seconds/helpings (it is a buffet), but that's okay, because I like never gain weight (I still only way like 150 pounds). My uncle told me that he made a new website, he made it on like (this may not be an exact date, but I think it is) Thursday, September 24, 2009. His new website is called JonathanMcDonald.me, and he is currently running it using Google Apps. Then we departed from Ponderosa and went to Costco. At Costco, my uncle got a full tank of gas, a towl, and a shower curtain expander. We then departed Costco to go to The Great Escape (a movie theater) and catch the 2:45 PM showing of Surrogates. However, when we arrived at the theater, we still had some time, so we decided to go to a local winery, Friar Tuck. My uncle got a 6 pack of Guinness 250th Anniversary Edition and I got some kind of Black Cherry beverage (soda). Then we went to GameStop and I got Left 4 Dead and Final Fantasy XI Online (that's 11 for those of you who don't speak Latin [aka: Roman, Vatican Citian, or just Vatican] or understand Roman numerals). My uncle payed for it up front since I didn't bring my wallet. We then returned to the theater at 2:35 PM and purchased tickets from a really cute girl who worked at the cinema (another term for movie theater, not to be confused with theatre). We then saw the movie, it was pretty good, Bruce Willis did a pretty good job. I then returned home, to find out that my StarCraft T-shirt arrived. It was by that time about 5:00 PM and I then got on the computer and typed this message up, which I finished typing up around 5:40 PM (right now it is 5:39 PM). Me and a few friends are looking for some online games to play, game's that you can just "pick-up and play" and that are free.
We don't want games such as: RuneScape, MapleStory, Guild Wars, or WoW, nothing that would take much time, just something that we could all play together and play for 30 mins or an hour.
Some exaples would be BomberMan, InkLink, Mini-Golf, or Pool. I've searched and can't really find anything that 2-4 people could all play together....

So i took this girl out for a date, I met her online. I drove 1 hour to her, took her to her favorite street restaurant. I paid for it too, she laughed, pushed her hair back a lot, made eye contact many times, and smiled all the time.
After we ate, we sat at the table for another hour just talking and having a good time, after that she showed me around the city. And where she worked. Finally the date ended with her coming in for a hug.
So yesterday (the next day), i tried to call her but no pick up. I only called once however, so that night I sent her a message on facebook saying how I had a great time with her, and wanted to know when she is free next and if she would like to go out mini golfing, or bowling, or even a movie. Then I said how much more "Gorgeous" she is in person, compared to just a picture.
She has been busy with work, but she has replied to my call or message. Is she interested, playing a game, or just overly busy? She works for Human resources if that helps.
Thanks for the tips, and as for the "date only their type", it is more a stereotype. She knew my occupation when she asked me out initially. So i'm sure that has no impact. I also contrary to what guys like to do, I don't play games with girls.

Does anyone play online golf games? Who does, well I do. I play utour, Golden Fairway, World Golf Tour, and Shot Online which I don't like. But who here plays these games, not all of them. Golden fairway is simple, and easy, with basic graphics, but good chatting features. World Golf Tour is the most realistic, and the newest one, it has realistic graphics of Bali Hai in Las Vegas, and the Kiwah Island Course, and easy to hit good and straight, but hard to get a good score. Shot Online is the hardest one, and you hit your clubs really weak in the start, and it's hard to go to the next level. So who here plays one or a couple or most or all of these games. If you play more than one, which one do you think is better, and if you don't play all, or know all, try out these other games. I met this girl online. She emailed me and we soon then started "talking" through text messaging. We then moved it to AIM. I said I definitely felt a connection, she said the same. Anyway we planned to meet up (she's working two jobs and had her shift covered so she could go out with me) and last Wednesday night we meet for mini golf. She texts me a few hours before saying "hey! are you ready?" Anyway, she calls me right before and asks where I am. Next thing I know she is walking through the doors on her phone (with me) and she smiles and we hug. All throughout the game we are standing close to each other, she is playing around, like tapping her club on mine, trying to make me mess up, talking a lot, etc and she bumps her thigh onto mine as I am putting, and rubs my shaved head twice (lots of physical contact). Oh and she was talking during one hole and said how when she saw my profile she thought "This guy is really cute...I'll message him." Anyway we make a bet (she chooses what the bet is) that the loser buys the winner coffee. Well I won. So she still suggested we go to the mall for coffee (she works at Starbucks). We get there and she introduces me to her boss and coworkers as her "date." We sit and drink coffee, talk (for 40 minutes, where she mentions I can take her for sushi another night and she can get the chicken, when I asked if she liked sushi), and then we get up and go outside to watch a youtube video on her phone that I said was funny...and after she showed a funny one to me. As she was watching the video I picked, I was standing next to her with my hands on her shoulder and my head rested on her. So minutes later we go back inside so she can throw away her cup..she then checks her watch saying "do you have to meet that friend yet..b/c it looks like it's time for me to go." She knows I took the light rail/public transit there so she offers to give me a ride. I decline, say I'm meeting my friend across the street. We hug and I say we should see a movie soon. She replies "Yeah I know totally" and that "we'll figure it out later."
I thought she was into me and all that. But she never texted me . I texted her around 2:30p on Thursday (day after) to say "everyone asked my friend and I why we went blond." She said she earlier liked the blond buzz and was feeling it twice. Well she never replied. And usually she does in mornings to say 'good morning' and throughout the day.
So that night, after still no reply, I text to ask a question. I say, "So how's your night going, pretty girl?" B/c I didn't kiss her so I said that to make sure she knew I was into her like that.
OK so I wait and don't text after that. Well on Saturday I tell my friend and he says I need to text her and apologize for the pretty girl comment and ask her out on a 2nd date. So I text her that day with, "Hi Sara, I wanted to apologize if I came on strong with that comment in the text before. I had a wonderful time with you the other night and would love to take you out for sushi (or chicken) and then a movie next week. Let me know when you're free. -(my name here)"
She replies back with, "Thanks, I had a lot of fun too, but I got the feeling you're looking for something I'm not right now."
I left it at that. Now her saying in the mall I could take her out to a sushi place came BEFORE when I was resting on her shoulder outside.
So girls what do you think? What made her think I was looking for something she wasn't? She was giving me a lot of physical contact but then I rest on her during the video and it gave her the wrong impression? Something that small? Cuz I doubt it was the pretty girl comment, since she didn't text me back to the earlier text either OR text me herself all day even before that comment.
And that you tube vid was just a spoof on Obama...I highly doubt that was any big deal. By the way we're in our early 20's and go to the same school. She works two jobs.
And is the resting/leaning thing really a big deal? Girls, what would you do in that situation...would you like it? And what about the pretty girl comment? Assume it's with a guy you liked/connection with and all that in the same situation.
